UNITED- INDIA & PAKISTAN (Kartarpur Corridor)!!

           A corridor is proposed along the borders of India & Pakistan connecting the Sikh communities or the Sikh shrines of Dera Baba Nanak Sahib and Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur. The Corridor connecting India & Pakistan is called the Kartarpur Corridor. 


 The Corridor Project:-
The idea was proposed long ago but it came to reality when Cricketer turned politician Navjot Singh Sidhu (Punjab minister and a former member of parliament) announced that Pakistan army chief Qamar Javed Bajwa told him that Pakistan would open the Dera Baba Nanak-Kartarpur corridor on the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak.
The Vice-President of India Venkaiah Naidu laid the foundation of the Dera Baba Nanak-Kartarpur corridor at Mann village in Punjab on the 26th of November 2018. On the other side the President of Pakistan Imran Khan laid the foundation of the corridor at Narowal district of Punjab in Pakistan.

Inaguration & Travel:-
The Corridor is said to be completed before November 2019 and will be inaugurated on 12th of November 2019 on the (550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak).
Buses will basically be the mode of transport for the pilgrims. Though the pilgrims does not require visa but they will surely undergo biometrics checking for security purpose.

Conclusion:-
Though this project is restricted to pilgrims of Sikh community it will surely act as a stepping stone for the neighbouring countries to resolve their differences.

Let us just hope & pray that our neighbouring countries stay along united. This Historic project will surely ensure a new relationship between India & Pakistan!!
