Li-Fi (light fidelity) Technology

Image
Definition:- Li-fi is a technology used for wireless communication. The communication between devices using light as a medium to transmit data at a very high speed. Introduction:- The term Li-Fi was first introduced by Harald Hass at TED Global talks. Professor Harald Hass belongs to Germany and is a Professor of Mobile communication in the University of Edinburgh . Overview:- The working of Li-Fi is pretty similar to Wi-Fi. The only difference being Wi-Fi used radio frequency to transmit data whereas Li-Fi used light to transmit data. The advantage of using Li-Fi over Wi-fi is that it has higher bandwidth and has greater speed on comparison. Technological Stacks:- The optical communication used LED's (light emitting diode) as a medium to transmit data for communication at a very high speed. Visible Light Communication works by switching current to LED's to turn on and off at a high speed. The process is too quick to be identified by the naked human eyes. In oth...
